  The new and improved Oak Ridge Food City is definitely new and improved. This store can now easily give Kroger a run for its money. The hot bar is out of this world, although if you order something "from the grill", meaning a hot dog or hamburger, it can take quite a while. I waited nearly 20 minutes for two chili dogs. However, the birthday cake I picked up in the bakery more than made up for my wait. It was a white cake with chocolate "satin & silk" frosting, and it was out of this world good. My co-workers and I all raved about the quality - it was one of the best store-bought cakes I have ever had. The rest of the store is much improved, as well, from the standard food aisles to the fantastic beer and cheese options. The addition of gas pumps was also a great idea.

  Shining example of a fantastic regional grocery chain. Wide, very clean and well-stocked aisles. Excellent meat department, dedicated and friendly personnel. Heavily vested in community outreach projects.
  This location has recently upgraded by adding a Gas 'n Go facility to it's many offerings.
